Since the age of 14, I have had somewhere between 75 and 100 different jobs. By "job" I mean anything that involved me NOT doing something artistic. I hated pretty much all of them but looking back I have to laugh as well as admire the sheer volume of them all. Of course some were more memorable than others. My first job was as a golf caddy in 8th grade which I quit after being sent home on my second day for not wearing socks. Other jobs that haunt my past are Cashier at Jack In the Box, Framer for Michaels Arts and Crafts, various pizza delivery jobs, numerous warehouse jobs, graphics guy at Ikea, and 3 hours in a bagel shop that just about killed me. In my early twenties I spent some time building heart catheters for a surgical supply company. Later while living in San Francisco, I was the guy who put rubber bands on wet tee shirts before they are tye-dyed, (that lasted all of 4 hours). I've even subjected myself to medical testing in which I was burned and given various drugs including Morphine. During the same time period, I had my life broadcast live by the producers of "Taxi Cab Confessions". Now granted, many of these "jobs" were taken to support myself through college but I couldn't continue subjecting myself to these types of gigs man, something had to change!
Then came Hot Wheels and I finally found my calling. I had decided to follow my life long passion for cars and bikes and my life took a huge turn for the better. I've been fortunate to work with some of the biggest and most respected names in the automotive, cycle and action sports industries. I now do what I love full-time for Quiksilver as well as freelance from home in my off hours.
I currently live in Lakewood, CA. with my beautiful wife and daughter.
In 2010, I founded the Vandoleros Van Club and I love driving my custom 74 Ford Econoline.
Keep fighting the good fight.
