Jason Cruz began his career in the action sports industry. He designed snowboard graphics for Joyride Snowboards back in the early 90’s while also taking his art to the streets of Southern California as a graffiti artist. After attending the Art Institute of Chicago and the Academy of Art in San Francisco, Jason became Art Director for Arnette Sunglasses and then later, Sanuk Sandals. By 2003, he was designing apparel and poster art for Cardboard Robot. He has had ads and illustrations published in numerous Action Sports magazines as well as Arkitip, Juxtapoz, Dice, and Spin.

Jason was soon hired by Mattel’s Hotwheels brand as designer for their lifestyle department. While there, Jason designed various products for use in style
guides as well as collaborated with their top 20 licensees such as Hallmark, Fender guitars, and Felt Bicycles.

It was during this time at Hot Wheels that Jason was inspired to pursue his passion of custom cars and bikes. He began to focus his creative efforts in the automotive culture. Jason has designed numerous die cast cars for Jada Toy’s. He has also designed T-shirt graphics for car shows throughout Southern California and is the Poster Artist for Dice Magazine. Today, Jason works for West Coast Choppers as their lead artist while continuing to design for Cardboard Robot and Dice Magazine.
